Looking to go a little greener in you daily life? I think we are all aware of the need to do our part. I ran across this great article on the web offering some great tips for making some daily adjustments resulting in becoming a little greener.

Go to http://nationalzoo.si.edu/Publications/GreenTeam/ to take a look at these useful suggestions.

I removed my name from the “Valpak & Advo” coupon mailing list right away! Click on these links to go directly to this internet form.

Upper Midwest Gourmet is doing our part as well. We have over the past few years installed Solar Panels on the roof of our facility, replaced the lighting in the entire building with high efficiency florescent bulbs, use an earth friendly ink for our printed material and recycle most of our paper, cardboard and common waste through local recycle pick-up service. We also have added many Eco/Earth Friendly and Organic products to our inventory offerings to support our customers with their green efforts.

Please go to http://uppermidwestgourmet.com/organic-products/ & http://uppermidwestgourmet.com/supplies/ to review these products.

Our Flamenco Organic Coffee Company is dedicated to supporting Organic and Fairly traded coffees by offering exclusively dual certified Organic & Fair Trade coffees ONLY. We actual roaster is operating on Solar Power for most of the day. We are also a “Certified” organic handler which ensures the Organic coffee we offer is 100% organic during the entire process/roasting process.

Go to http://www.flamencoorganic.com/ for more details on our coffee and to request your samples. Please feel free to stop by for a tour.

Enough about our efforts. What are you doing to do your part? Take a look at your operations and see if you can implement any changes to go greener. I promise that you, your customers and your staff will be glad that you did!

Please do not hesitate to contact UMG for any assistance with you “Going Green” efforts.
